Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) presidential candidate, has denied meeting Nyesom Wike, the governor of the opposing Rivers state, in France in advance of the 2023 general election.
According to his handlers, Tinubu recently traveled to France as part of ongoing high-level discussions with stakeholders.
Asiwaju Tinubu’s alleged meeting with Governor Wike in France, he declared, “is fake news.”
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC’s presidential standard-bearer, and His Excellency, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, allegedly met in France, according to media sources. This was revealed in a viral social media post made by one of the party’s leaders in Lagos State.
“It is now essential to correct the record. Asiwaju Tinubu did not meet with Governor Wike anywhere, including France, despite the fact that he is now there.
However, this does not change the reality that Governor Wike is held in high regard by the APC presidential candidate.
Additionally, Asiwaju Tinubu will not be hesitant to engage with any significant national leader when appropriate given the appeal of his candidacy on a national and cross-party basis.
Asiwaju Tinubu is in France for a number of significant engagements, as was previously announced. He will soon make his way back home.
